Delete your account
This removes your account and the data held for it. It cannot be undone.
The self-serve web flow is not live yet
It needs the account system and the
delete_account() routine, which are
CONTROLS actions 15 and 16 and currently unowned. Until it ships, use one of the two routes
below — both work today, and both are honest about what they do.
Delete from inside the app
Settings → Delete account. This is the fastest route and the one the app itself offers.
Or ask us to do it
Email support@shtopit.com from the address on your account. We complete deletion requests within one month, which is the statutory commitment, and usually much sooner.
What deleting does
- Removes your account and the data held against it.
- Another device that is signed in is wiped the next time it connects — an offline device still holds its own copy until then. That is the same design that makes the app work on a plane.
- It does not cancel your subscription. Billing is handled by Apple or Google, not by us, so it has to be cancelled where it was started — in the App Store or Play Store subscription settings. This is the one thing you cannot fix afterwards from inside the app, so cancel first if you mean to.
The confirmation step, once the flow is live
Shown here so the shape is fixed: a fresh sign-in, then typing the word to confirm. Disabled because there is nothing behind it yet — a form that looked live but silently did nothing would be worse than no form.
To finish this page: a fresh sign-in ahead of the form (doc #8 §15.4 requires
re-authentication, and CONTROLS 15 requires
delete_account() to take no parameters —
a parameter would make it an IDOR), then the plain-language confirmation that it is done.
Doc #5 §18 owns the in-app wording; this page must match it.
